1.1 Varma e-service – general terms of use
Use of the Varma website requires the user to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please familiarise yourself with them before using the site. The various services may include special conditions that must be applied besides these terms and conditions. Furthermore, services that require an identifier are subject to the relevant contractual terms.
The Varma website and information contained therein is designed to be used in Finland.

1.1.5 User responsibility

1.1.6 Immaterial rights
Varma reserves the proprietary rights, copyright and other immaterial rights to the website, unless a separate notice has been given. Varma reserves all rights to this site and its contents. This prohibition does not apply to storage on a computer or printing for personal use. The material may be quoted in accordance with the Finnish Copyright Act. 1.1.7 Personal data
Varma processes personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act and Employees Pensions Act and ensures the protection of privacy in the handling of such data. User data collected in services requiring registration is stored in Varma's person registers. The information is used only for the purposes specified in the register description. Should it be required by a service transaction, Varma will save the messages to secure the content of the message. The Employees Pensions Act limits the disclosure of information in Varma's possession to third parties other than with the consent of the person in question or in cases required by law. Varma is entitled to collect, handle and analyse information relating to usage, traffic and transactions on the website and other statistical data relating to the site. Varma may also request this type of information from a reliable third party. It is not possible to identify a person based on this information.

It is not possible to guarantee the confidentiality of e-mail messages transmitted via the internet. Users should avoid sending personal data or other messages of a confidential nature to Varma via e-mail.
At the user’s request, Varma is entitled to transmit information via e-mail to an e-mail address specified by the user. Varma is not liable for any damage arising from messages transmitted through the internet.
Messages transmitted through the internet-based insurance folders maintained by Varma are SSL protected.

1.2 Technical recommendations for the use of varma.fi
1.2.1 Applicable browser versions
Our service is designed for the latest web browser versions of Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox. Not all functions are possible with older browser versions, and the page layout may be less than optimal.
